Halo – Overview

Halo Overview

Everyone has different needs for their unique skin. As a customizable treatment, Halo fits perfectly into your busy lifestyle. Need to be back to work tomorrow? A light treatment creates smooth, vibrant skin that’s ready for makeup the very next day. Want to WOW them? A more intense treatment will give your skin a youthful glow with just a few days of downtime.

What is Halo?

In the past, you had to choose between a procedure that offered really great results but required a lengthy recovery, or a procedure that had a fast recovery but marginal results. With Halo, you get the best of both worlds: beautiful results with minimal downtime. Halo combines deep dermal revitalization with epidermal renewal for a combined synergistic effect you can’t get with any other treatment.

Skin Conditions it Treats

  • Discoloration
  • Sun damage
  • Visible signs of aging
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Enlarged pores
  • Poor texture
  • Appearance of fine lines
  • Appearance of scars

Halo isn’t harsh like many other treatments can be, and our patients experience minimal discomfort. Skin damage that you can and can’t see is addressed by Halo’s combined dermal revitalization and epidermal renewal. Even after your initial treatment, your skin’s tone and texture will continue to improve, as Halo triggers the “dermal regeneration phase.”

Your Halo Experience

Halo is a two-in-one treatment. It utilizes two different wavelengths emitted from the same Sciton laser: ablative and non-ablative. Ablative wavelengths remove the damaged top layers of skin while non-ablative wavelengths stimulate collagen production and tighten the skin.

Halo by Sciton is the world’s first and only tunable hybrid fractional laser. This skin resurfacing and rejuvenation treatment addresses skin tone, skin texture, and skin tightening with one treatment, dual wavelengths, and minimal to no downtime. Generally, skin resurfacing treatments are performed with one of two types of lasers: ablative or non-ablative. Ablative treatments offer greater results but lengthy downtime, while non-ablative treatments don’t require the downtime but do not produce the same dramatic results.

Ideal Candidates

Ideal candidates for a Halo treatment are women and men who are unhappy with discoloration of the skin, skin texture, and early signs of aging. The only contraindications are patients must be in good health and understand what a Halo treatment can and cannot accomplish. Halo hybrid fractional laser will provide you with a youthful, revitalized glow; it will not, however, provide results similar to that of a Face or Neck Lift. Further, Halo works off of your own body’s healing response, so results vary between patients. Halo can easily be combined with other cosmetic facial treatments for even more enhanced results.
